This is a cutting from the elderberry plant, not a plant with roots.
Adams Elderberry (Sambucus canadensis Adams) is a deciduous perennial shrub. In June, the shrub produces creamy white flowers that form into clusters. By late summer, the flowers give way to clusters of small dark blue to almost black fruit, providing a source of food for birds and other wildlife.
This elderberry variety is native to North America and is highly tolerant of most conditions found within USDA zones 3 through 8, making it an easy plant to grow. It requires well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade to flourish. In addition to its ornamental value, elderberry has been used for centuries for its medicinal properties. The plant's berries and flowers have been used to make teas, syrups, and other remedies for a variety of ailments.
Cuttings come in bundles of 5 or 10.
Cuttings are approximately 6-10" in length and have enough nodes to give good rooting success.
