Cold hardy and prolific. Products multitudes of tiny baby leeks each year, or you can separate them and let them grow into medium sized leeks. Comes back each year in late winter and sprouts new plants from underground bulbs.
 
We sell leeks by the plant and in bundles. A single plant is medium sized and left in the ground will begin to produce shoots and spread within a year. Then you can split them apart, much like chives or Welsh onions.
