Cold-Hardy, Seed-Grown Peach Line
These are open-pollinated peach seeds collected from a Siberian C–derived seed-grown peach population.
The parent trees are second- and third-generation descendants of Siberian C, forming a genetically diverse, cold-hardy breeding line selected for vigor, winter survival, and adaptability.
These seeds do not produce clonal Siberian C peaches. They produce unique seedling trees carrying Siberian C lineage with natural genetic variation — ideal for growers seeking resilience, breeding stock, and locally adapted orchard trees.
What You’re Getting
You will receive fresh, viable peach seeds harvested from healthy, seed-grown Siberian C–derived parent trees. Each seed has the potential to grow into a hardy, productive peach tree, but individual seedlings will vary in:
- fruit flavor and size
- bloom time
- chill requirement
- disease resistance
- growth habit
This genetic diversity is what makes seed-grown orchards more resilient and better suited to changing climates.
About the Siberian C Line
Siberian C is widely respected for strong cold hardiness, reliable flowering, vigorous growth, and usefulness in breeding and rootstock development. This seed line preserves those traits while allowing new combinations and adaptations to emerge — making it ideal for:
cold-climate orchards
breeding projects
food forest plantings
experimental and regenerative growers
Growing From Seed
Peach seeds require cold stratification to germinate.
Seeds should be stored in damp peat moss at 34–40°F for 60–90 days, then planted in pots or nursery beds once sprouted. For more information on growing trees from seed, read our guide here.
Important Notes
These seeds produce genetically unique trees. They are not guaranteed to match any named peach cultivar. This is intentional and is what makes them valuable for adaptation, selection, and long-term orchard resilience.
